Update · 7 min read · Hyper Sheets
Hyper Sheets 2.0 came out on 26 March 2026. Back then the menu was still short: Learning Journey, Review, Games, Challenges, Leaderboard, Badges, Feed, Classroom and League. Since then, new features have landed almost every week. If you stopped by and then got busy, it's no surprise that a lot feels unfamiliar now.
Version 3.0 brings it all together into one complete app. This post sums up what's new since 2.0, one section per menu.
Four menus, plus You
Every page now lives in one of four menus: Learn for lessons, Play for games, Arena for testing your skills against other people, and Community for meeting others. Everything about you, like your profile, badges, certificates, portfolio and settings, is in You, through the avatar in the top right corner.

Home has changed too. It now answers one question: what should I do first today? The Continue button takes you to the next lesson on your path, the review cards that are due sit right below it, and Today holds your daily missions and their coins.
Learn: 46 categories, four paths
The lessons now cover 46 categories, from HTML to Rust, arranged into four career paths: Frontend, Backend, Fullstack and Software Engineering. Every lesson has a demo, a quiz and exercises, and you're still free to start anywhere.

There are new ways to learn, too. Scenarios has you build projects for clients through a chat, and you learn the lessons along the way. Explore holds 410 interactive playgrounds for playing with a concept until it clicks. Review goes back over what you've learned with spaced repetition, so whatever you're about to forget comes back right on time.
Languages: 8 languages for work
When 2.0 came out, Hyper Sheets was only about coding. Now there's Languages: English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Mandarin and Arabic. They're all taught through Indonesian, from A1 to C2, and every unit is a freelance work situation: calls, emails, proposals, contracts.

The same menu has Speaking Practice, for working on your pronunciation through drills and roleplay, and Typing Practice, for building up your typing speed and accuracy.
Arena: skill against skill, no AI
Arena is where you sharpen your skills against other people. In a ranked 1v1 Duel you get 10 minutes against a recorded run by a player rated close to you: winning raises your rating, losing lowers it. Every week there's a Weekly Contest, 5 problems in 2 hours. There's also Speedrun against your own record, Practice Problems that never run out, and Watch for following other people's matches.

Play: 220 games and one village
There are now 220 games, and each one trains a single concept, from easy to hard. The game you played last shows up at the top, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Boss Season is new too: there's one boss every week. The first season, Refactor Season, starts on 5 October with four weekly bosses, and then the final boss, Old Legacy.
Then there's Kampung Hyper Sheets, a pixel village where you farm, fish, chat with the villagers and take on client orders. Inside it is a Pixel Arcade with 10 games.

You: proof you can show
Certificates now come with an exam: 20 multiple-choice questions and 3 coding tasks in 60 minutes. You pass at 80, and you can retake it after 7 days. Every certificate you pass gets its own verification page. Open now: HTML & CSS Foundation. JavaScript, React, SQL and Laravel are next.
Portfolio gathers your projects, certificates and skills on one page you can share with a link, a QR code or a README badge.
There's more to make you feel at home, too: a pixel pet that wanders around your screen, cosmetics and sets in the Shop, and Ask Hex, an AI tutor you can ask about the lesson you have open.

Community: classes, projects and jobs
Teachers now run their classes in Classes & Groups: joining with a code, assigned lessons, a discussion board, a schedule and class rankings. A teacher can make a private class from day one. Gallery shows off what learners have made, and Feed shows what your friends and classmates are up to, newest first.
Newest of all: Jobs and Talent. Anyone can post a job, freelance work or an internship, and every post is reviewed before it goes live. You can apply straight away with your portfolio. If you're looking for work, turn on Talent in Edit portfolio so people who are hiring can find you.

Certificate exams and Ask Hex are free right now too, but each use of them costs money, so that may change later on. Hyper Sheets is built by one person, with no ads. Its server and AI costs are covered by its supporters.
Four 3.0 launch badges
To celebrate 3.0, there are four edition badges you can only earn from 5 October 2026 to 4 January 2027: 3.0 Citizen for opening Hyper Sheets during the launch, 3.0 Explorer for opening the new Home, Play, Arena and Community, 3.0 Critic for sending feedback, and 3.0 Pioneer for finishing lessons in four different weeks.
